RS vs. 2RS Ball Bearings

RS and 2RS bearings are both types of ball bearings that differ in the number of rubber seals. An RS bearing has a single rubber seal on one side, while a 2RS bearing has two rubber seals on both sides of the bearing. The rubber seals help to keep dirt and other contaminants out of the bearing and provide additional protection against contamination, making 2RS bearings more suitable for applications that require higher levels of cleanliness.

Other companies may use different letters or combinations of letters to indicate the type of bearing seal used. For example, V and VV may indicate single and double non-contact seals, respectively. LLU and LLB may indicate double-contact and double non-contact seals, respectively. It's important to check the manufacturer's specifications to understand the type of bearing seal used in each case.

The "C3" designation in RSC3 and 2RSC3 refers to the internal clearance of the bearing, which is the amount of internal space between the rolling elements and the inner and outer rings. The C3 clearance is larger than normal clearance and provides greater space for the rolling elements to move, reducing friction and heat buildup. RSC3 and 2RSC3 bearings are similar to RS and 2RS bearings, respectively, but with a larger internal clearance.
